Commission Portraits

The commissioned portraits that I do are non-traditional style portraits. Since commissions are more involved and a relative likeness is required the cost for commission work is higher than for my own subjects. Work will be done from photo reference, no live models. You may submit photos but I would prefer to take my own under most circumstances depending on travel time and costs. Please see my guidelines below for commissioned work...

Portraits take approximately 4-6 weeks for completion
All work must be paid for in full before final delivery
Non-refundable 50% deposit upon acceptance of commission
Client responsible for framing and matting of finished art
Client may supply photos or pay additional $25 for film costs

Pricing:(all work is priced unframed)

11 x 22 Single portrait vertical: $750 (example to right)

full 22 x 30 vertical or horizontal portrait: $1,500

full 22 x 30 multiple vertical or horizontal: $2,200

All watercolors are done on either Strathmore 100% rag cotton watercolor board or Fabriano 100% rag cotton watercolor sheets. All paints and materials used are archival. Client accepts that artist work is a likeness and not a photo representation of the subject. All work done is final and must be paid for in full upon pick-up or delivery.
